Can't figure out how to recruit new crew...

Running Ver 1.2

I have tons of renown (even though I understand some seamen are "free"), and have no trouble issuing promotions, ratings, and medals.

Can someone walk me through recruiting additional crew for empty slots?

You do it the same way you give out medals an promotions, Click the tab were you bring up pictures of sailors on the left side, drag the one you want to an empty slot now you got your new crew member.

On the left side, I have three buttons.

1. Crew management, which lists all crew and has a drop down list for how you want to organize them. There are no picture of crew, just their stat depending on what you selected from the drop down list.

2. Promotions.

3. Medals.

Still not clear on what tab brings up pictures of sailors available for recruiting...

OK, I got it. I just realized that the pictures were off screen due to sizing issues with my monitor. If I reach my mouse cursor off screen, and can click and drag the picture in on screen and "recruit" the sailor.
