Default destroyers going aground ???

Anyone know why when i go into a allied port to sink their ships the AI destroyers run aground and then sink and i havent even fired a shot in anger???? whats going on.

It's a series of common stock bugs.
1. If you save close to port then the ships lose their waypoints and they run aground.
2. If the AI ships do see you they follow the shortest course in order to itercept you without taking into account the shore line. That's why they usually hit the shore.

There is also the drift issue, especially in stormy conditions

wait till you meet the destroyers that come after you to the depth of the oceans (literally) to hunt you down -- scary, yes, but also funny as hell...
