Default Filling in gaps in the manual

The SH4 manual leaves a lot of gaps. A lot of the basics don't seem to be explained. Could someone help me with a few questions:

How do you fill out the Damage Control team? Do you have to assign people to it each time you activate it by moving them into the open slots. Do you recruit people to permanently fill the slots?

Who goes where at battlestations. How can I tell who the OOD is at battlestations? Or who the actual sonar operator is? I'd like to have my best guys in those roles? Nothing in the manual. Only an explaination of how a 3 section watch rotation works.

What are the green bars at the top of each watch station. Seems to have something to do with efficiency? The green bars on each watch section? Is the number there a percent?

The guys in my engine room and aft torpedo room don't seem to ever sleep.

Can you manually enter a range into the PK? I like using the marks in the periscope and TBT for range. But only using the stadimeter seems to allow you to input range. You can manually enter the other values so it seems like I should be able to do the same for range.

Any help (or a real manual like the old flight sim manuals) would be great.

1. Damage control team: I leave it blank until I need it. Then click and drag crew to the positions. You can activate/deactivate it w/out there being anyone in the control team. After the damage has been fixed, put them back into their respective positions.

2. Not sure. I think everyone is at battlestations. I've never thought about where and what everyone else is doing. It may be watch #1, though I'll check this to make sure. Like try to remember what everyone looks like.

3. Yes, its a percent. If its really good, it's 1 out of 1, or something. .5 or something is 50%, I guess. I read this somewhere and will try to edit the link later.

4. That's strange. How's their fatigue? They should sleep when everyone else on that watch sleeps.

5. I dont play at manual TDC. Too difficult to understand. But I'm 100% certain there's a post about it here. I'll edit the link.
