Default Save games and damage models...

Ran into this last night.

Ill try to explain this briefly.

I had attacked a "huge euro liner" and hit her with 3 torps on her starbord side 4th one missed.

The liner came to a halt and listed badly but remained afloat.

"Dinners ready" comes the call from the kitchen, so I saved and left the game.

Later I returned loaded and went about setting up a stern shot by swing around 180 degrees raised scope and took the shots. Well duh... the escorts were right freakin there. They found me fast and sunk me.

So I re-loaded (yuh Im a wuss) and had a brilliant plan, go deep sail past the liner and take the stern shots from the other side (away from the escorts). Sooo I went deep and cruised for quite a ways when... "Honey !" the call comes from the other room. So I saved and went to attend to the Honey doo.

I returned later and loaded the save game. I immediatly recieved the message "Enemy unit destroyed" ?? Huh guess she sunk while I was taking out the trash, cleaning the deck, sweeping the porch... Wait a second, it was a save game, no time had passed !!!

So I gleefully took credit for the kill and sailed happily home. I was a little dissapointed that I dident get to execute my "brilliant" stratigy.
