Quick Q? On Manual Firing Setting.

Sorry if this has come up before ...

Anyhoo!

I was in Sub School and shooting away with the deck gun on a merchant (deck gun school) when I had Auto Targetting setting on I hit the ship with 4 shots from stern to about midship. I used the camera to have a look at the damage, none!

I then went back out and change the game setting to Manual targetting, and did the same 4 shots (AP shells both times) and when I had a look , there were the 4 holes from stern to about midship.

I would have thought it would be the grpahic setting that determined if you see holes in the ships not, and not Auto / Manual targetting in the gameplay menu.
