Please forgive a really basic query

I do feel a little embarrassed to ask this at this stage---but how exactly do you manage to give a medal to one of your crew---I have dragged crewmen screaming over the medal and the medal over crewmen---but I have found no way to actually give the medal to the crewmen to keep
And I fear unless some of them actually soon get to keep the medals I drag them over and tantalise them with, I shall be facing a fully fledged mutiny aboard a US Ship. The whole course of the war could be jeapardised.

First select the crewmember you want to award the medal to. Make sure there's a brighter box border around them. Then drag the medal onto the crewmember. Not the description, but his portrait in the sub-picture.

(Or so I think. That's what I can remember from awarding medals the other day anyway.)

That's right, you have to drag the medal to his picture not his description like you could in SH3. When dragging it, you'll still see your mouse cursor, make sure the cursor is centered over the crewmans picture.

I had a little difficulty with this as well.

When you drag the medal to the crewman you put the mouse cursor over the picture, not the medal as the medal is a little to the left of the mouse cursor !
