I noticed that my frame rate tanks when the "action camera" ( or "picture in picture view" or whatever they call it in game) pops up on screen. Frame rate never falters below 60fps until this thing appears and then it drops to about 20fps, makes mouse movement sluggish, the works. Disabling this in the game options fixed her right up.

Doh... That's sort of logical that framerate would drop when you have to render 2 scenes (where the 2nd one have the explosions and all kind of effects) instead of just 1...

Yeah I know it's logical, but considering how small the window is (and how low rez it is) I didn't think it would have the impact it does. It's basically more than halving my frame rate.

Yeah, it sort of caught me off-guard at first since I had no problem with it in SH3. But with all the new eye candy in SH4 it really adds up, so I disabled mine, too.
