I need some help with the damage control party. How do I pick a damage control team without depleting the watch crews?
I started my first wartime patrol and thought it would be a good idea to select a damage control team in advance. When I did so, the various members of the crew who were selected were removed from their normal duties, so here I am patroling in enemy waters with one or sometimes no one on the deck watch crew. What is the proper procedure/ If any modders are reading, can you please create a mod that lets us opt out of all this crew micromanagement? thanks! Joe S |

When in port you can add extra crew and put them in your DC area then you have a full time DC crew

To add to what Karbo said, before assigning a crew member, be sure to check his stats before adding him. Try picking the players with the best electrical or mechanical stats. You will want guys who have abilities to do repairs the quickest.
You can pick better ones at the top of the list but they cost "renown points". The guys lower on the list don't cost anything, but also have lower stats. Choose wisely. ![]() |

Add that to the list of bugs. You shouldnt need a separate damage control team. It should be regular crew members who do damage control when needed. If it occurs on their watch then the person on one of the other watches takes over for them. I hope someone figures out a way to opt out of this whole mess. Joe S
