Default Problem with JSGME

I installed JSGME but the program didnt create a backup folder nor did I know it needed one. I DLed and installed RFB 1.3, didnt like some of the changes and tried to go back to 1.2. However, while the loading screen say RFB 1.2 it still has the 1.3 features I didnt like. So, I used JSGME to remove RFB 1.2 but it still loads those files and the 1.3 files. Okay, I remove the mod folder completely and that doesnt help. I uninstall and reinstall SH4 and try to run JSGME but it still runs RFB 1.2 even when its not only not in the mod folder but is nowhere on my PC. I uninstall again, reinstall and run SH4 without JSGME. Its fine. I load the 1.1 SH4 patch and when I start the game it loads RFB 1.2 with the 1.3 features! How do I fix this. I have no mods on my PC now, JSGME is not on my PC, why does patching it cause RFB 1.2 to be triggered?

Okay, I've fixed it. For others who may have this problem heres the deal. Windows Vista apparently creates a hidden file for every game and in this file is a "virtual store" or some such nonsense and the SH4 virtual whosit had the JGME files in there and they were conflicting with the install. Now, when I decide to try JGME what do I have to do to be sure it creates a backup of the vanilla game?

After I uninstalled I ran an advanced search for SH4 with search hidden files enabled.

VISTA.................What a revolting developement that is.

Every time you turn around someone complains of something weird with Vista. There is going to be a lot of ice in hell before I purchase it.

But good luck for you people whom do own it.

Frankly I'm having very few problems with Vista and find it faster and more stable than XP. I've not had any problems I've not had when learning about any new OS despite all the doom and gloom about game incompatibility.

There have been many reports on the web about Vista being slower than XP and I know Vista is a large memory hog. Guess thats why the new Vista motherboards support more ram than XP.

I don't blame you for sticking up for your computers Vista though, but I and many thousands on this globe will either not purchase it or will wait a few years untill it has proven itself if that ever happens. Some goverment agencies will not change over to Vista, must be something "Bill & Company" is not telling us yet.

As I said in my above post.... "But good luck for you people whom do own it." ............And I meant that in a nice way.

Yeah I know

I'm outta here.
