Why does my SUB take damage when I attempt to dive?

Hello,

Can someone please help me out in trying to figure out why everytime that I try to dive to periscope depth near the SEA OF JAPAN, HONSHU I believe then I start taking damage from various stations and then soon I am dead.

Prior to diving I check my depth under keel which informs me that it is 1000m, then I press the P to dive to periscope depth and my sub is at 2/3.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

This happened to me while in the Sea of Japan, I dont think its a bug, I was attacked by aircraft alot on the way out after deploying troops, had damage but made repairs, then decided to crash dive and as soon as i got to around persicope depth i sunk The end of that career.

Either my hull was to damage and just cave in when i submerged or i hit a mine.:hmm:

Did you take and repair any damage along way? If so, what type, severity.
There is a problem with the pressure hull damage thing. See threads about this.

I had a airplane bomb me on the surface that destroyed my rear aft torp room. It said my bulkhead was destroyed. Amazingly, my DC crew was still able to repair it back to 100%! Then I had to wait quite awhile for the flood water to be pumped out (blue box at top). But in reality the 'repaired Bulkhead' is really no good (destroyed). Even though there was no damage shown, it was still junk and sank like a rock as soon as I went dive.

This damage is aculmative, so it could have been done over several small repairs (airplane bullets -fixed so quick you never noticed cruising at xTC). You would not have noticed.
