Helllpppp: Error 1628..

I had a working SH3 when I decided to try to install the GWX mod.
I mad all the preparations as they recommended, disabled all the mods through JSGME and rolled back sh3Commander.

The installation seems to work ok and the GWX was installed.
Later, I've noticed that mods added by JSGME are not really activated, just being listed as such in the right pen of JSGME.

Well, I've tried all kind of tricks and finally decided to re-install everything from scratch.

I got my first Error 1628 when I tried to run an install from the CD (install over).
Next, when I tried to locate the uninstall application for the SH3, I was surprised to find out that it is nowhere to be found. The application did not list anywhere in the
>control panel >Add/Remove Applications.

Well, in a moment of really bad judgment, I deleted all SH3 directories with all its contents..

Since then, I've scanned the registry for the remains of SH3 and removed them all, cleaned the registry with two separate applications and reinstalled Windows Installer v3.1 (V2) again.

Still getting that Error 1628: "Failed To complete installation"
