I found Mt Surabachi among other things

I located the Island of Iwo Jima and saw Mt Surabachi but the weather was raining and was really hard to see wish I could of got a picture but decided not to cause it was hard to see. I even run my sub clear up on the island and took damage but got it all fixed by damage control. My patrol zone was a photo recon mission near the mainland Japan but on my way I had to dive to evade a plane that was patroling the area. I dove and ran a while submerged only to find out on the surface my batteries would not recharge all the way so I took two pictures showing that they arn't charging and traveling over 500 miles you think they would charge.Heres a couple of picture dipicting this. and this is even trying the battery depressed so I know it should be recharging and made sure of that.

Doesn't look to me like the "recharge batteries indicator" is illuminated. I would suggest the mod that changes the indicators to green when selected instead of just brighter yellow.

I look forward to seeing Chichi Jima, maybe I can do some lifegurad duties there and pick up George H. Bush. He got shot down bombing the communications installment there. His two crew members were captured and died at the hands of their captures. Bush on the other hand had to bail out last as the pilot to keep the plane stable enough for the others to jump. The extra time allowed him to swim to a small island off of Chichi Jima and allowed him to be picked up by a sub(if i remember correctly).

Chichi Jima seemed to be for the US Navy airmen what Iwo Jima was to the Marines...they never did knock those comm stations out though.

In SH1 if you were using all four engines to run at flank then
there would be no engine available for charging maybe its something
like that.

Looking forward to pictures from that mountain too, I might skip town and have a look myself there too. It's cool to know it's there though.

Yes your right NattyDread I found that the Bow Batteries are damaged from my escapade down at Iwo Jima. The green lamp mod is nice though and am using it now. Batteries will only charge that far and can't fix them any farther. Guess I will start over again.
