Default Infinite Hull damage?

Hiya all,

I have searched for this on the mods forums using different texts and never really came up with what im looking for, so I thought maybe someone here can help.

What I want to do is have my uboat have infinite hull damage, but not have infinite compartment damage? That make sense? lol

Ok I'll give an example, Say im being depth charged and the charges are finding there mark. I would like it if I did not die from hull damage but can still take damage to the boats systems and even take on heavy flooding. in theory I should only be killed by either all compartments flooding or I end up on the sea bed not being able to raise the boat and dieing of lack of oxygen.

I know it seems a bit "Cheaty" but I love the scenarios where im battling for damage control of the sub, flooding is draggin her down but theres a small chance I could recover and maybe get to the surface. I hate it when I think I might just pull out of the damage when I get the you are dead screen due to hull integrity reaching zero.

I cant seem to find a mod that would simulate this, Is it somehting I could edit myself? I have used program like SH3 inspector in the past to edit certain values. What would I need to edit exactly?

Many thanks for any help given.

I'd say you need to increase the hit points of your sub dramatically - you still take damage the way you want but you can take a bigger beating... Too higher value will give you CTD's though

If you use the main zones config file and just up the armour
points for the rooms and not the systems that should work
but using the main zones file will effect all subs.

Uber has uprated armour on rooms but not infinite so I take
hull damage but am resistent enough to it to stay in a heavy
surface engagement for twenty or thirty minutes. ubers
systems are encased with uprated armour values of their
own (not so great as the rooms) and therefore responds
conversely to what your trying to do. Resistent to system
damage while the hull collapses over time, but a tweak of
the same techinique should do it. by massively increasing
room armour but not increasing systems armour in your
main zones cfg,
