Did you know you have to reset your torpedo speed after every shot. The selector keeps defaulting back to slow. You apparently cant' set it once and leave it as you could in Sh3. Kind of a pain...

Yea, if I remember same thing was with SH3 or at least similar. It is annoying, however sometimes next torpedo loaded maybe different type.

This isn't a problem for the moment as 'fast' torpedoes are bugged. Don't use them!

SH3 does the same thing. Once I set a torp to fast and contact I'll have to reset it again once that tube is fired and reloaded.
Not a bug. In real life torps had to be "programmed" individually before firing...probably even before loading it. |

I just did a little research. Torp speeds could be changed in the tube similar to the way gyro angles were inputted to the torp, but as far as detonators they had to physically open a hatch on the torp to deactivate and in some cases re-activate the magnetic exploders.
So...yeah it's realistic to have to reset the torps in the tubes after every reload. They Came out of the ammo dump at a set speed and a set exploder...any changes had to be done on the boat. |
