lag when looking at captain's log

whenever i open my log to see fox traffic, pac news, ect, my computer lags out for minutes at a time. at first it was just for a few seconds, but every time it got worse, for days, until now i can't open it without waiting for at least 2-3 minutes. Sometimes i'll just lay down on my bed and read a book until it unlags.

My specs are fine for the game, and i'm running on conservative gfx settings... anybody know what is up? it could be some rendering error in which case i could ghetto-fix it by deleting everything in my log.

You are correct. It is a known bug. Hopefully the dev-team will fix it in the next patch.

In the mod section you will find a work-around for this problem.
