Your Thresher was commisioned aug 27 1940 and stricken Dec 13 1945
SS 200 Thresher/ Tambor Class
She was captained by
W. L. Anderson
(I think he may have later been first
captain of the first Nuke boat Nautilis)
W. J. Millican
H. Hull
D.c.Macmillan
J.R. Middleton

In her war career she sank a total of 66,172 tons of shipping.
(Post Janac I think)

Yes, it's a typo.

One of many misspellings in the game. The editing left a little to be desired. I sometimes wonder if any native English speaker worked on it or even reviewed it for grammer and common usage.

There was a recent thread on the official forum that gave the code line to edit to correct the misspelling.

That would be

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Roster\American\Submarine

and open the SStambor file
Change name in
[unit 4] from tresher to thresher.

Default T(r)esher typo fix

Grab the Real Fleet Boat Mod v1.11 (RFB111) or back-up and edit the following file:

sh4 folder\Data\Roster\American\Submarine\SSTambor.cfg

scroll down to:
[Unit4]
Name=USS Tresher

edit and save

* you may need to start a new campaign for the correct name to be pulled
( if you are currently out on patrol with the Tresher.)

CaptainCox did a great Thresher skin too
