Silent Hunter III Map

Hi,

I have just purchased Silent Hunter III in the value box range.
It does not come with the fold out map. Is there anywhere I can download a copy of the map in a resolution good enough to print out on say A3 so it is usable?

Look in the documentation folder for a file "SH3_MAP.jpg".

I don't have time to look for it right now...but there used to be a great MOD that showed the convoy routes and aircraft coverage area's "in game" on the Nav Map when you zoomed out several steps....

Antone else remember/use/have that??

No, GWX does not display enemy convoy routes on the nav-map. It does however, have a pull down version of the world map that came with the game, and it is accesible in the nav-map screen, but it's not quite the same thing. Still, you can sort of get by by consulting both the pull-down mini world map and the real navigation chart side by side (this game should have had dual monitor support :hmm: )

Darn,
I just printed all the docs from the CD. It appears I had a *.PDF filter active when I copied the docs to take to work to print and missed the map. OH well I will have to print it next time I get access to a A3 printer.

I will check out the GWX mod as well.

I was lucky as over the last few weeks out local shop had Silent Hunter II & III and Destroyer Command on the shelves so I purchased them all. They do not normally stock those titles.

I think I may donate to get the bigger mods for Silent Hunter II as well.

The local is now stocking Silent Hunter IV. If they had that one in at the time I would have missed S.H. III. and went straight to S.H. IV.

Canovaro is right

And... if you decide to try the wonderful GWX mod, it even shows up ingame as a pulldown on your map screen (F5). When I first saw this little trick, I knew GWX was thought up and made by great gaming minds
