Default Campaigns in multiplayer?

Okay, so almost everyone seems to hate the MMO-subsim idea.

Still, what about, at least, having campaigns available in MP? Only major change needed would be to allow time compression to be set somehow for the group (?host determined?) and allow save games in this situation, so the group could pick them up later.
