Default CO2 (Oxygen)

Hi everyone im new here but i have a question. My son is totally nuts about this game and so am i. Now he plays with all the realism options off and all works except the CO2 / Oxygen for some reason it still fills the bar when being under water. Is there anything i can do so that he will have an unlimited supply of air ?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Wonderfull mods i found here by the way, such as the buttons that will turn green makes it so much better to see what is on and off.

CO2 is carbon dioxide...

While you are submerged you do not get any fresh air and the boat steadily fills with C02. The reading displayed is the level of C02, and is highly advised you surface before the bar fills up.

But does it kill the crew? Perhaps it shows how much CO2 is present so you can know how uber your crew is at any given time.

CO2 should increase with time sealed in under water. More is bad. The compressed air is used both for submarine operations, AND breathing. So the compressed air is "oxygen" and the CO2 is measuring the dangerous gas that is building up inside the sub.

Have you tried letting it fill up and seeing what happens? Maybe the CO2 fills up but there's no repercussions?

yeah i end up with everyone dead and game over, so it doesn't work i gues it's not working the way they intend another thing that is broke i gues.

Maybe someone knows how to fix it ?

Also since im asking it for my son, is there anyway to do the following, i know it's cheating but hey ya know kids im more for the realism factor myself but for beginning kids it's more fun that way.

So im looking for the following options.

No fatigue and no morale drop so his crew stays happy and no sleep lol
No damage to his own ship
Unlimited Oxygen offcourse
And always have radar so he can see on the map where enemy units are.

He would be very happy with this if someone has the knowledge to make it happen.

No option to stop the CO2. Which is kinda stange since they have an option to have unlimited O2.

Any best thing you could do is just surface for a few seconds to get rid of it.

I have the same thing, funny thing is that it says that you are running out of Co2 and need to sruface, if it's such a bad thing wouldnt that be good?

The Oxygen is the compressed oxygen used to blow your ballast tanks in an emergency, it has now effect on CO2 buildup. As far as I know, there is no on/off setting for CO2 buildup.

This isn't a bug, its a feature, Nuclear boats won't come along for another 15-20 years, along with the associated CO2 scrubbing technology. Besides, who wants to crawl at submerged speed when you can get up to 19-21 knots surfaced.

I like to submerge when I am being bombed by planes, the co2 meter (on the right of the 4 meters) goes down and when it is down I get told we need to surface.
