My PC is more than 4 years old: AMD Athlon 2700 (2.1 GHz), Radeon 9800 Pro, 1 Gb RAM, Windows XP.
I have read GWX is too heavy for old PCs. What about RUB 1.45 and WAC Light 2.1 ? |

GWX should run on your system.
![]() EDIT - What is your performance like with stock SH3? FPS?

I'm running on an Athlon 3000+ @2,1 GHZ, 1 GB Ram, and a NVidia 6600GT 128 MB with full harbor traffic and it's running pretty stable even in harbors. I seldom have events where the FPS drops to below 15, but it's rare and only in harbors.
Check out www.guru3d.com forums for the best driver for your card. At least with NVidia cards, the newest driver is rarely the best driver for your card. Currently I'm using a driver that's almost two years old, but it works best with my card. Important: Tune down Anti Aliasing (AA) and turn off V-sync. Those are the frame rate killers. In case you're still not happy try using the low harbor traffic option and I bet you'll be ok. |

I have an Intel 2.4 Ghz, ATI x1600 256mb, with 512 RAM.
I can run GWX with the 16km mod, the normal harbour traffic, and with modest AA and AF. I get really good frames. Like 20 or more. I have a page file thats 2.5 gigs and SH3 uses about 1.5 - 1.6 gigs when its running. I have no issues, only slightly slow TC around a harbour. You can definitely run it better than me. ![]() |

What worries me is that I have some slowdown using the stock game (v1.4bv) at TC 1024.

And I don't have any problems with GWX (except one - mission loads almost 6 minutes, but it worth of it) |

I have a P4 3.2 Ghz + 4GB Ram + x800 pro Ati GFX card & I still get slowdowns at 1024. ![]() There is also a nasty 'giveaway' regardless of your system at TC. When you are nearing a convoy/ship the game will pause to load the convoy or ship. Can't be helped, unless you patrol at 1 x TC.

matxer; you didn't mention what video card you have. My guess is at least an AGP 128?
I have WAC Full running on a 3200 with 1gig ram although the system realy, realy wants 2 gigs, and a 256 AGP, runs fine except for maybe trying to pan around in home port while leaving the harbour. Whatever you do, forget about using the [.] camera view .. POW. You can try WAC light if you want first, JSGME makes it a snap to switch out. You can try NYGM as well. If by chance you or your system does not take a liking to either, you can try an older yet real good mod called Harbour_traffic_147 standalone.
