Default Two scopes for 1 type of radar?

just installed surface radar on my current boat (Gato) surface radar seems to be working, contacts showing up on the A-scope and PPI scope, thats the problem I see one scope (A-scope) should be for air radar and PPI scope for surface radar.
Also according to my Silent Hunter 1 manual PPI wasnt available until Sept 1943 prior to that surface radar also used an A-type scope.
1 scope should be for air and the other for surface, maybe that was what they had in mind but its not working that way.
And clicking back and forth between scopes will stop your sweep.
There is a post by Marko that shows the SH1 radars if you want a look.

My personal opinion: I think its sad that people who paid good money for this game have to find all the bugs for Ubi then depend on the modders to make things
perform and look cool. my hats off to all you guys.

Thanks,Condor

I think it was a play-balance decision. Radar definitely makes it easier to find targets, and reduces the "learning curve" for new players.

I can understand why they did it, but I do feel it needs some work. Don't want to derail the thread with anything else that I have to say.
