Default why don't i get any varity in missions?

Been playing loads sinse its come out, but im negining to get annoyed now, because EVERY mission i've had is to patrol, its really boring now , why don't iget any variety? im reading asbout people dropping ammo, lifeguard duty, the only time i haven't had the patrol mission is when i started a new campaign in Pearl, and that was just one of drop off an agent right off Japan, then, more patrols, it just seems to be SHIII, but with different ships/scenery. Can i change anything to give me more chance of getting another mission.
Also, my first mission, i go off and PATROL, and come back to manila, and find it crawling with DDs, i meen crawling, atlest 10 - 15 , i've got screenshot to, but why have they come into manila? (still controlled by allies, and i could dock, and there was even a fishing boat, but why were they there?

Thanks - Gigalocus < sorry, i thought he was funny

The career has a bad habit of being stuck in loops. Try dropping of an agent 4 times in a row in Quinshin before getting so fed up you end your career.

All I can say is, out of 10 patrols, 6 have been something other than patrol x grid. A favourite for my benevolent Admirals seems to be to send me to infiltrate Osaka habour. Been there twice now and died twice too.

Also dropped off supplies for soldiers fighting at Manilla and had to do photo recon of the Japanese Carrier force in some port, plus a few agent drop offs.

I'm not sure why you're not getting the variation mate, but it definitely is in there. I always choose 5000 renown, perhaps that has something to do with it? (wild stab in the dark only)

Are you on 10th patrol in same boat? Or is this 10 patrols over a few career's?

I'm on my 4th boat now.

My 1st career lasted for 1 patrol, the 2nd was 4 patrols long, the 3rd was 2 and this one is still going strong and i'm out on my 3rd patrol right now.
