dont need have the directors version on dvd i thought all submarine enthusiasts had it

Me too. Just pointed it out for the young'uns that maybe dont have the DVD, or have never seen it.

Also, it's nice to update everyone that a awsome movie is being broadcast.

Yoy should get the full version. The director's cut skips about a hour of footage.

jus watched it ,, w000t right after they sank and had to repair all those hours at 270ish meters, i already got the uncut edition on dvd

I turned it on 2 hours in right at the convoy attack where they "nearly got us this time". My family turned and looked at me with the predictable expression of "here we go again".

Fantastic movie. Even if its not the longest version.
