Default GWX 1.03 no more CTDs !!!!! THANK YOU!!!

Ever since downloading GWX 1.03 I have not had a single crash to desktop, where as before I had them on every patrol and the game was basically unplayable. I didnt see anything obvious in the 1.03 documentation that would solve CTD's but nevertheless, they are gone. I have no idea why, or what was wrong to begin with, but I dont care cause I'm back in action

My CTD problems always happened when attacking convoys, so far I have taken on 3 large convoys in 1.03 and not a single problem. And I figure even if I do crash again at some point, it is pretty obvious the game is much more stable now on my system. So to the devs of 1.03, thanks so much! I can finally get back into SH3 again!!!

Sadly for me the reverse is true, downloaded GWX 1.03,started a patrol in 1940 headed out to Dunkirk to kick some ass and just as I was getting real close in to cause merry hell I got a CTD and a microsoft error send message, the first ever one in a very long time, bugger!I'm wondering if the fact I downloaded some of fubars excellent skins and sobers 3d wave pack as well as a torp damage mod by someone who's name sadly escapes me was in anyway conflicting with each other.anybody else had a problem?

Still on patrol so I'm waiting till I get back to port before I install.

Did you use JSGME to enable the mods? If you did then you could simply disable the add on's and see what happens.

otherwise try the Mods Workshop forum, there's bound to be some kind of thread concerning the new patch.

Good luck mate

GWX 1.03 works like a charm, the only problem i have is that the water "blur" in the scope (when raising it) doesnt disappear.... Even if it's fully up, the blur continues forever. Could this be caused by that "malfunction" option in SH3C, or could it be my graphics card driver...? (Just updated to the latest driver)?

Probably the malfunctions option present in SH3.... Water trapped between scope lenses IIRC.

I wonder how many "bugs" that malfunction setting is responsible for:hmm:

I've switched it off now, but for a while I was convinced that I'd had a bad install, or a dodgey save because of that function.

No problems here with 1.03, installed easily and works a treat! Lovely start to my 6th patrol last night with a couple of large merchants off Cornwall. Even got assistance from the Luftwaffe in the shape of 3 Ju88s who set the second ship on fire and then left leaving me to finish it off. Great stuff!

I'm also using SH3Commander, Sober's 3Dwaves, SH3Weather, and I thought I installed the 'antenna down' mod but it was still there last night on my VIIb. Must check that.

Anywho, thanks again to the GWX crew.

PS Scalelokt, glad you eventually got sorted out! Happy hunting.

Correct.
When I raise my scope on my first patrol after 3 months SH3 free,
I noticed white/yellow spots all over my scope

DARN SEAGULLS!
