Out of curiosity...were any cleveland class cruisers ever used in the Atlantic during WWII (I read that the Houston was used post war in the Atlantic)?

The Cleveland covered the landings in French Morocco in 42
The Birmingham covered the invasion of Sicily in 43 They both spent time in Australia also while in the Pacific as did some other ships of the class |
