Default PPF/AA/OK without any of it

I'm conducting a poll on PPF, AA rendering, ok with any of it.

I don't mind the lack of AA, I've never been spoiled by it.

I didn't really like the PPF in the game, I thought it washed out the visuals a little too harshly for me. I'd be willing to try it, and especially the full-scene glare, but I'll keep away from it at least until I get a new vid card.

All I really want is higher resolution 3D. That's it. If my 1280x1024 native resolution looked like the 1024x768 ones, I'd be high as a kite.

As for the effects. I turned off the glare.. it made my 3d look worse. I also usually don't use Post Processing because it makes certain things much darker - such as my boat. Even though with Post Processing on, the framerate goes up.

I agree - the most important thing for me would be the REAL support of higher resolutions (and there is really no reason to limit the resolution to certain resolutions, users should be free to select what they are able to run). After that, I personally would opt for AA (again, as an option), and than PPF (if possible).

To sum it up: I want a game that is on the normal 2007 standard, graphic-wise

I pretty much agree With Chuck B. We need the higher resolutions too, if at all possible.

Anyway, tough choices. I like the Post Processing filter. The graphics are defintely improved over SH3, unless you're a person that considers lack of Higher Resolutions and AA to degrade what's displayed on your screen to offset that. I'm one of those people. Right now at my monitor's native res of 1600x1200, the screen seems like a jaggy shimmering mess. Including the water, since it's made up of polygons too. Of course that's partly to due with the fact the 3D Rendered World is not 1600x1200 even when that res is selected in-game.

Of course people are going to want as many options as possible, so I, like I'm sure the majority of people will, voted for 'a choice of all option of PPF/AA/none'. If PPF has to go in order to get AA then that's what I'd vote for. If it doesn't have to go, then I'd like for it to stay. Right now I play with it turned on.

But we need our Higher Resolutions and AA. One of them at the very very least! I'll be a little disappointed if we don't get both of them, but I'll live.

I like the PPF and do have the glare off. I have caustic lighting on the ships. If PPF seems dark I believe the gamma slider can make it brighter.

Major "ditto"

Id really like to get more into the "feel" of things (game play) with true higher resolution support . Eye-candy is pretty much expected these days even if its offered in differant flavors .

I think the PPF is great. Was a bit suspicious of it at first but have already grown to love it. Just wish my framerates were better in general...

Yes, I love the PPF. Your frame rates....I turned off environment because I had fog and the game slowed to a crawl. After tuning off the environmental the game gained about 10-20 FPS. I'm leaving it off

I think one big thing missing in this poll is allowing for larger 3d resolutions, I would take that first.
