Default Minimum specs are too minimum

I have an ati 9600, the lowest card supported. After renewing the drivers the fps was still very poor, sub-school in port was approx 10fps. I have 1.5gb ram and a 2.9G cpu.

I am going to get a new pc very soon but thought to hell with it, so I payed out £90 for an old fashioned Geoforce 7600 with 512mb ram on it. Must say I am now very impressed. Not just with this game, but its enabled me to increase the graphics to max on all my games so I am very happy

The bugs still niggle me, but its a much better experience with the new card. Goes to show that minimum specs may play the game, but the mouse movement through to gameplay is awful when the fps is so low.

I'm on a 1.8 Ghz, 512 RAM, 9800Pro. That's below minimum, as far as the RAM is concerned. The game runs flawlessly and fluidly, except for some acceptable FPS bog down in port and a more severe one at very high time compression (>6000).

What I did though to achieve that was tuning different settings in the drivers panel from "quality" to "performance" or "high performance". Environmental effects off as well as that bloom thingy. Also texture quality low (thank god there is a numerical read out for the sonar bearing! ). Before doing these things, the game ran like crap. What I also did was disabling FSAA in drivers pannel - dunno if that also had an influence, just figured when the game doesn't support it, I better turn it off by default to avoid possible conflicts.

Game looks still better than SHI, which is good enough for now. In fact, it looks still pretty darn good and better than SHIII imho. And I actually like the post processing filter - initially, I was afraid it would suck from looking at some screenshots.

I have the AMD 3200+, 1 gig RAM and the Radeon X1300 XGE 512mb. The game runs fine. I have the slider now moved to about 3/4 to max. 3D wave, environmental, caustic and water glare checked. The game runs smoothly.

Warhawk: I am running the same video and 3.4 Gc processor, and I have TWO GB of RAM. The 'game' seems to run fine, but GAWD... that golden arrow cursor is 'laggy' and touchy to position on the buttons in the lower left. You find that, or is it just me...?? [I am patched to 1.1 and running in as low as everything will go]
