time to upgrade

i have now p3.6 HT , 2gig in ram, geforce 6800 GT 256mb, soundblaster audigy 2 ZS.

And im not at all happy with only 20 - 30 fps and not happy at all when i turn on enviroment and it drop to 9 fps.

so..what to do?.....i have looked at geforce 8800GTS...but..ohh...that price are to mutch for me. any tips should be nice. how are ATI card compared to nvidia?..i have never own a ATI card. and they seems a lot cheaper in price. And when AA is comming in a patch in the future. Im want be abel to use it to =)
