Default [TEC] Anybody been able to edit the .dat and .act files yet?

I want to get into the camera act and dat files, see what I can play with, but it seems the SH3 tools for editing dat's dont work with SH4.

Anyone else have any suggestions or success?

Edit: My apologies, I JUST noticed the tags sticky.... I'll make sure I tag my post appropriately in the future. Thanks

I edited the camera.dat file to make my SH4 Depth Charge Shake mod. You have to create new tweak files for the Mini Tweaker tool. The old ones are for SH3 and sometimes won't work for SH4 files.

You wouldn't be able to forward to me the tweak file for that?

email it to jamie (at) trux "dot" com if you can.

Appreciated!

I'm afraid that I only edited 4 lines that I needed to make the cameras.dat tweak file compatible with SH4. There are quite a few lines that need to be changed in the camera.dat tweak file. I might post a short tutorial on how to adapt SH3 tweak files for SH4 files.

Sorry to pester you nv,

For somereason, the Tweak folder for my install is empty, however the readme explains how to create one. I was wondering if you could forward me your camera tweak file I can use as an example, and build on it from there.

Greatly appreciated!

You're not pestering me. You can download all of the SH3 Mini Tweaker tweak files here:

http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/TweakFiles.zip

But of course, many of these tweak files will need to be changed to work with SH4 because they use the 'absolute' line set specifically for SH3.
