Stupid question here. Are you sure it's actually freezing up? The game load can stall for a LONG time at the "Not so long ago" point (even go to a black screen), but after many minutes it will usually come up. How long have you waited to see if it loads at that point?

The only time this happened to me was when I stuffed around with the menu_1024_768.ini (data/Menu). I was a fool (
![]() If you have not altered this file then I'm unaware of what else it could be, I do know that "Reece" had the same problem not so long ago, you may want to ask him. |

Luckily, I have saved before actually going into the East river. I will try that one and see if it locks up.

How many separate mods do you have enabled?
For example 'basic' GWX (NO mods enabled) will load faster than most. As soon as you add graphical textures (skins for example) the loading time can be dramatically lengthened. So, I have high res sub skins as well as the GWX skin pack and my load time for GWX is fairly lenghty, certainly double that of 'basic' GWX. Interestingly, saved games while on patrol take considerably longer to load than starting a new patrol. Also, interestingly, single missions are the worst for loading times. ![]() Basic rule, the more you add the longer it takes. FYI, texture files are the worst as these are loaded at the exact point you are getting stuff at. Good luck & I hope it works out for you. ![]()
