Default The Props in the SH4 Mille-Sabords movie

I have been looking at the Mille-Sabords SH4 preview movie (check the SubSim frontpage) and the way the props turned seemed somewhat strange. Or is it just me and is there nothing wrong with them ?

I also noticed it almost seems the scope does not leave a wake, and that my diesel sounds like a Herman one :-)

I DO love the way the flags "wave", very impressive, just like the rest of the movie. Dev-Team WELL DONE !

That was one of the things I didn't like. The flag didn't seem to be waving particularly realistically (seemed a bit too mechanical) and also, kept waving that way as the ships were sinking....:hmm:

I noticed that later as well. I also noticed the wind takes the flag in a different direction than the smoke goes. But I am glad I found something to complain about, make me feel at home again

I noticed the props too, but can't put afinger on what it is. The other thing was the ringing alarm just before the periscope shot. Thats not a diving alarm or battle station alarm that I've ever heard. The other was the lights on equipment in the control room blinking both red and green, not realistic, if theres a red light on when submerged it's a warning...........

I thought the spray and wakes from the merchants was way too much for a ship doing not more than 8 knots. Also, on the Junk the flag was blowing astern whereas any sailboater knows, the flag would blow in the same direction as the wind and if its coming from directly ahead, you aint sailing anywhere....

I see we have the boxes bobbing to the surface like in SHIII. I wonder if they will have six sides to them this time rather than the three sides in SHIII

Ithought the smell of the sea air was fairly realistic.

I know what you are refering to with the props. Having experience with video capture I would say the reason they look strange is likely due to the video conversion they did and the frames per second it is set at. Anything moving fast like that and spinning would look strange. Worry not my friend.

That was my thought, the look of hesitation caused by the reduced frames/framerate.

Best part was watching the Torpedo beneath the waves as it struck (first ship.)
