Default TDC Labels in German.

Hi,
I would like to change the "Gyroangle, Depth, Pistol...etc" labels on my TDC to there equivilent in German.
I know this will be in menu_de but I would like to know the precise line to alter.
Thanks a lot if you can help,
KUrtz.

Lines 2010-2015 is what you're looking for.

Default Sorry No!

Sorry!
Those are not the lines I am looking for.
Editing those lines will alter you Periscope labels.
I am looking to change my TDC, F6 screen labels from English to German ie, Gyroangle, Depth Speed Spread etc.

Hi,

This is something I have often thought of doing. It seems daft that in a German sub, with German voices, all the dials are in English!

THing is, what held me back was getting the correct German translation for all this. Do you have it handy? - If so, any chance you could post the German equivalent for these dials so I know what to enter in the menu file?

Or would I only get that from a German-installed menu file?

Thanks

Default de_Menu

Hi Phoenix,
Yes, that is where I would get them from.
I already use the German from de_menu for my Periscope tubes etc.
The line numbers are 2010 to 2015, I also use the German for line 13 from there!
If anybody knows exactly where these lines are at in de_menu that would be cool?

Based on the labels I'm seeing in game (playing with German language on), I believe that you're looking for lines 2760-2774 (though there seem to be a couple of extra entries in these lines that I can't see on my TDC screen, this looks like the only block in de_menu.txt where all the labels appear in one section.

Good luck - it is a lot more fun/immersive to see the German rather than English markings around your boat.

Default It Worked!

It worked and looks good!
Although my "range" dial is still in English for some reason.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Well, beats the heck out of me why, but apparently the label for this particular dial is in line 2020 instead of with all the others - tested it on my German version so I'm not sure if the numbering is the same in the English version, but I would assume so.

Good luck!
