IIRC., from the 'official' boards - 32-bit Vista? Yes. 64-bit *anything*? No. Note that Vista is unusual in that it's the first Microsoft OS that (in nearly all editions) comes with both the 32-bit and 64-bit DVD in the box. Make sure you pick the right one!

(IIRC., the most entry-level offering does not have the 64-bit option, though.)

You could try installing/running it in 32 bit compatability mode if you have 64 bit Vista

And I can comfirm that DW runs on Vista 32bit.
Only problem is with the options screen that vista keeps switching to the ms speech recognition setup.

But the speech recognition works? Did you install the additional ms software from the DW CD#1?

On my system the speech recognition of DW does not understand me On Windows XP it has worked. Perhaps the problem is that my default language is German?:hmm:

I'm running Vista 32 and DW works fine. So does the speech recognition. Have you "trained" your speech profile? If not that may be your problem. The more you train your speech profile, the better it will understand you.

I think the problem is, that I've only the home edition of Vista and this version does not support switching to other languages (from my understandings). I've tried to install the old speech recognition software from the DW cd, but I cannot activate it :-(

Just to narrow things down, I can confirm it runs fine on a Home Premium 32 bit version of Vista on a laptop
