Default Y2K scenario in 2 weeks from now...

Maybe Congress should ask the public before pulling this kind of crap.

Hehe, big deal. I doubt things will go as badly as they say. Especially if they know it's coming now. All they have to do is change the clocks by an hour. Some people will probably use it as an excuse to come in late for work.

Here is the problem with this one - You had years to prepare for the last one. Congress only gave us a few weeks for this one!

The question is how long does it take to prepare for the unsurmountable task of changing the time on a PC!!?? It's like five clicks or something (huuge)... I hope they can get people trained in time.

That is what you're used to. The problems come from Unix that require proper time stamps on their files. WHo knows - maybe this one will just blow over too. Then again, I expect at least some minor hiccups on this one.

Be a little more realistic...it's not weeks. Congress passed this as part of the Energy Reform Act of 2005...they gave us about two years...plenty of time.

Careful. You can't say things like that in this country. I know you're joking, but I still think you can't even joke about it. Then again, I may have the laws wrong. SOmeone correct me if I'm wrong.

Jacksonville, FL calls itself the "First Coast"?

As for DST, we need to just dump the damned thing. Indiana and Arizona don't have it, and they haven't been taken over by zombies or whatever the hell the argument for it is.
