I thought it only fitting to list up some of the hero's who drove and serviced on these magnificent boats durring the war.
That this man is listed as #1 is not in any way indicating that i think he was the "most" heroic of them. But purly a way of listing by random. That way ill know what number im at for the next one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_W._Gilmore A brewski for Mr. Gilmore - apparently a top notch skipper ![]() It is the intention that all of you can post a link to a hero of US-submarine forces from WWII - so if you have a pick - post it with a link to the man. Here is my next selection.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_B._Fluckey Another sharpshooter Last edited by Mav87th; 02-23-07 at 12:45 PM. |

If I may, I'd like to nominate Samuel David Dealy.

Next hero in line
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_O%27Kane for unpresidented fan-shooting with the Tang. Followed up by this "rampage-skipper" that somewhat "did" his convoys as i "do" mine in SH3 ![]() http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/...rine_hero.html |
