Great reading! Excellent art work and a ton of info that I was previously unaware.
Maybe there could be a bi-yearly subsim almanac? nah, just kidding. Would be nice, but special thanks to all the hard work and effort and research into the topic. I am missing the early subsim games, post RSR. Like Aces of the Deep, the Silent hunter series, jane's, etc... That could be left for the next almanac, tho. I would like to point out to the curator of the USS Cod that here in g'ol Charleston, SC, there is the Maritime museum at Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant that may help you with your searches, we have the USS Yorktown, CV-10, the USS Clamagore, SS-343(though it has the Guppy mod, so I guess it would be a SSK?), and the USS Laffey, DD-724(?) as well as a Cold War sub memorial and a Vietnam forward support hospital, with a PBR and Huey... lotsa stuff Navy. anyway, I digress. Great job and already looking forward to the next one! |
