Can you tweek the files to get U Boat models earlier?

I want to the better etc models earlier in the war? Can this be done?

If you load up the basic.cfg file (data\cfg\) with a text editor near the bottom of the page you can edit the available from dates for subs and equipment, remember to backup the file first.
