I am curious: is anyone else doing this? I am, and have been very pleased. I was always a "windows guy" until a few months ago. I got so tired of all of the bugs, viruses, incompatibility, and other garbage that PCs have been infected with.
In Mac-world, there is no such thing as a virus. Or any other malicious software for that matter. It is a non-issue. ![]() ![]() I run SH3 with silky-smooth framerates with graphics maxed out. And get this: The Mac machine - - - works! All of the time! ![]() My argument against Macs was always "There's no software for them". Now that they have intel-based chips, PCs just plain suck. I no longer spend entire weekends "fixing" windows software and hardware conflicts. ![]() Sorry to rant, but with my Mac, I feel like a man who has just been released from PC prison, and it is hard not to get excited about it and tell other people. What I'm saying is that Mac (wisely) realized that they had to get on board with all of the software written for windows, and it has always been the case that Macintosh builds a far superior machine that actually does what it's supposed to do, every time. The software is becoming more and more compatible, and the line is blurring between PCs and Macs. If I can run all available software, PCs have no advantage over Macs at all, IMHO. The key to all of this is a program called "Boot Camp". When I start my machine, I decide whether I want to run Mac OS X Tiger, or WinXP. I can also "see" my Mac drives while in windows, and vice-versa. Best Regards, Andrew |
