Default A few Sh4 modding Q's

Does anybody think it will be possible to reskin
sh3 modells with sh4 type skins and insert them
into the SH4 game the way we do now with
sh3?

As Im still relatively new to modding
ive never sat through a release.

what tools are people likely to
release.?

how long do
new tools normally take
after a new game comes out.?

What do you mean SH4 type skins?

The SH3 ships might not be detailed enough and might need alot of reworking if they can be exported at all. The physical damage model is one of the things which makes me doubt it.

As for tools, if we're very, very lucky, the dev team might release an SDK. Otherwise it would be up to a modder to make the appropriate tools if they're needed.

But the devs have said that SH4 will be more moddable than SH3. What that means, we'll find out.

I'd be VERY happy with a bit of info on the data structures so we stop wondering what means every damn byte...
