U-boat Interior

were U-boats interiors of the black/grey colour that you see in Das Boot and Sh3 or were they white inside? Any pics would be appreciated.

thanks mate, seen this before but wasn't sure whether the refurb made it white, i was wondering about its original operating condition.

You have probably seen this as well. You would think because of the lighting in subs that they would want to have lighter colors so to make it easier to see, get around.

Not all where painted white inside. Some had the old fasioned grey corrosion resistant paint.
