friendly units

can someone explain to me why there cant be friendly subs in the game, there will be friendly ships and airplanes, but why no subs in know that wolfpacks werent really used in the pacific war but i hate the feeling of being the only one out in the ocean and not being able to have other units attack with you. i know they werent in sh3 but i thought they were in aces of the deep many years ago so is it hard to put in the game or whats the deal, i would love to pull up along another sub and trade movies like in the john wayne classic operation pacific.
