Default Mod do not work

Hello all!

I can't get Sobers 3d waves to function...I have tried different methods, and yes I have JSGME. I download the file, extract it into the MODS folder, and then enable it. What am I doing wrong?

Help?

First check to see whether the file structure is correct.

It should be > Sober's 3D Waves -> data ->.....etc

Make sure an extra folder has not been added in the extraction process.

Sober packed his mod inside a master folder which will not let it work with JSGME. Open the first mod folder and copy/paste the folder inside into your JSGME mods folder, then enable it and it will work.

Hmm!.....strange....it unpacked fine into my MODS folder without any sign of a 'master folder' :hmm:

@TINY
If all else fails copy and paste direct into your SH3 folder but it is adviseable to back the SH3 folder first

Make sure you also enable the mod while you're in port and not at sea. BTW how do you know that the mod doesn't work? I mean do you see something you shouldn't? I would suggest to try the above mentioned methods and post a screen shot so we can give more advice.

Maybe Tiny is expecting the waves to appear in Three dimensions!
Sorry, I couldn't resist Tiny!

If you want to see if the way you enable mods works I would suggest you try something more obvious like a sub skin. Download any one (it makes no difference really) put it into the MODS folder, make sure you're in port, rollback SH3Cmd and enable it. Then run the game and have a look at your sub. If the skin is the one you enabled then JSGME and the whole enabling procedure works fine, therefore Sober's waves are there as well. If not then let us know and we'll see what we can do

Enable the waves mod and go to sea...the crests of the waves should have a greenish tinge/colour to them...take a few screenshots and post em here and the jury will decide

Same here, no problems.
