do we know if the diving planes fold in or out

Not a hundred percent sure, but judging from some media I've seen, I believe they do (where applicable).

As I said, not absolutely certain, though I could swear I've seen it somewhere. Keep in mind, this feature was modeled on the XXI in SH3, so if a respective sub uses it in SH4, I would expect it modeled too.

I'll go back over what I've seen, and post a link to anything I find that confirms this for you.

yes thay well, on the appropreat sub and it'll be automatice like on the typeXXI in SH3

Speaking of diving planes in SH4....In some views the diving planes look a little anemic. Like they belong on a goldfish or something.........

I had the same feeling. On the screenshot were the Marine board the sub the dive planes look way too small (IMHO).

They're unfolded but I have to admit that the angle isn't the best one but they still look too small (to me).
