Life-guard missions are in. As for light torpedoes or FM sonar, I don't know.

How did mine-hunting work, anyhow? Did the submarine both find and detonate the mines, or did it work in conjunction with other ships?

Subs didnt do mine cutting unless maybe called for in a harbour penetration
(mission specific along with net cutting) in which case they would have had
two swimmers

No the Subs Used FM sonar to detects individual mines in order to navigate
into the sea of japan and other restricted locations that were heavily guarded
by mine barrages, as well as strong surface and picket forces.

FM sonar was Largely pushed for directly by admiral Lockhart himself

I would have to think that Cuties would be in. They're basically just an acoustic design like the TV German model. I Hope that FM Sonar will be modelled but I won't cry if it isn't. While charting mine fields was butt puckering in real life I doubt it would hold as much tension in the sim .

Cheers!

well I thought about that and it seems to me that as sub drivers we are all
into slow creeping tension or wed all be flying starfighters in Freelancer.
