Default A single 3D bridge?

Has anyone any ideas, if they are going to model different command rooms. I know in SH3 only small alterations have been made to the bridge moddel, but different for every class (a good example is the Type II). I don't know how US subs looked like in the inside, but I guess their command rooms very different.

So, will they be modeled?

I really do expect they are. I mean, how dumb would it be to have the same command room for all types of subs? Oh, right, this is Ubisoft....

Seriously, though, I believe they will be.

Cheap shot and I'm going to call you on it.

Exactly who do you think made all of the different interiors for Silent Hunter III?

Hint: It wasn't EA Sports, Derek Smart or any of our much vaunted Modders.

FYI: On U.S. subs, it is the Control Room, not the Command Room. (At least it was in WW2. It may be Command Room now, for all I know, but back then it was Control Room...)

Thanks for the welcome! I have been lurking for quite a while but I never had anything interesting to say before.

Looking forward to the release of SH4 like everyone else. Even though I am an Air Force type, I've always been fascinated by submarines. Maybe I should have gone Navy...

Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome!

Russ

Fine, but you would have made yourself look better if you had included my entire quote and not cherry-picked what you wanted just to try and make a point.

Frankly I am not the least bit interested in either making myself look good, or trying to make any point.

You implied the developers of Silent Hunter IV are dumb and the balance of your post did not change that statement one iota. It simply turned it into a cheap hit and run tactic and that sort of behaviour is not tolerated here.

Gah!!! Don't mention Derek Smart. When I was a moderator for the official Star Fleet Command Boards at Taldren, Smart came in there, started a flame war with the Devs and got banned.

The guy is an idiot...and tends to show up at the places his name gets mentioned at.

I believe the command rooms are different. If you watch the new trailer and compare it to some of the other movies we have seen of the command rooms you will notice differences in the equipment and machinery. Of course it wont model all the variations since I will bet no two submarines were alike in the US fleet but it should be pretty good.
