Oh boy! You know mate, this was one of the very first problems we wannabe Kaleuns encountered with Sh3. Gee it's been ages sine my first static problem...i feel old now! ![]() Here's what you need to do: 1.Make sure the game is patched! 2.Make sure you have the latest driver for you sound-card 3.If that doesn'T help go into DXdiag and turn down the sound acceleration a notch. If is doesn't help post again! If that works get one of the Mega Mods! GWX or NYGM and good hunting! ![]()

I have the same problem on my Soundblaster Live! 5.1 in SH3 and some other games. I think its due to the soundcard itself not being supported anymore so I'm in the market for a new one (one of those X-Fi Xtremegamer cards look nice

turn down hardware sound-acceleration two notches, to Basic.
Worked for me on my old sound-card (Philips Seismic Edge). Now I have a NForce2 Ultra-setup, and can run on full H/W-acceleration.

You would change the sound device in your "Sounds and Audio Device Properites" under the tab "Audio".

hmm I only have one option "SoundMax digital audio".. I'm guessing that is the motherboard's sound, any other ideas?

OK, I may get blasted here but.
I was looking through the dll files, act files and such and I remember seeing some comments on how somethings get disabled concerning video and sound to, I'm guessing now, use SH3 controls. I'll see if I can find that info again as it may be a good source of reference. I also remember seeing a reference to DESTROYDEVICE LIST! Any guesses to WHO THAT belongs to? |

If you mean you have onboard sound on your motherboard as well as a sound card you need to disable the onboard sound in the bios

...and then you probably need to install the drivers for your soundcard.
