Default It finally snowed here in the south east UK (London)

I cannot believe how long it has taken for a snowfall. Picture out my computer room window from this morning 15 miles outside central London.

What's that little dot on the sky?

Can you see it?

On the top right corner, above that single brown tree to the left of the green pine on the right edge. At about the same height of the highest of the dry branches on the left.

No? Me neither, I just couldn't resist pulling your leg (Konovalov -> ). Sorry. Don't send me to the brig please.

WEll In NE Scotland we had snow only about a couple of days ago and now that has gone.

NE seems to get it easier than other parts now. I remember when we first came up the winters were bitter. Hmm and climate change isn't happeneing

Nobody said climate change wasn't happening. The argument is over whether man is causing it or it's a naturally occuring event.

Sorry for any offence caused by my misleading topic title. The way that it was portrayed on Sky, BBC24, ITV and so on you would think it was the first snowfall.

Hi, no worries mate, I worked with an Aussie [knicknamed 'Digger' for some reason] when I lived in England many years ago [1980] and he had never ever seen snow until he came to England.

I heard that kids in London ran outside to play in the snow for 3 minutes before it melted.

IIRC, Digger relates back to WWI and Aussie soldiers digging trenches - probably wrong :O)

One of our blokes was driving between Rosyth and Faslane last week and the M8 was pretty badly snowed up, fast lane closed etc.
