Default navigation map notes?

I believe it was an option in SH2, but is there no way to type in notes on the navigation map?

Also, how does one keep track of ships sunk? On my second patrol I expected to see my previous ship sunk markers on the map, but it was wiped clean. Why would you not want to know where and how many ships you put to the bottom during your career? Is this "feature" available in any mod?

I would LOVE to be able to write notes on my nav map! A typing tool and a free draw tool would be perfect. What could make it even better would be to allow the player to have the choice as to whether marks and notes you make on the map are permanent (i.e. last for the entire career) or just for the patrol.

Hello adamh75,

I don't know about adding Notes to the Navigation Map but if you use SH3 Commander, you can click follow these steps for a full report:
"Click for available Actions..."
"Update your Personnal file"
Click "Open"
Review the Missions.

For even more info on the actual ships (including names), click on any mission #.

Very impresive, This little program even shows Captains place & date of Birth, Date of enlistment, Promotion dates, Bases, U-Boats, Badges & Medals.

To add more to this list, you can even review your entire Crewlist.

And THAT IS an excellent idea, indeed! I'd like it too, very much.

Could be easy, just make a drag'n drop box (like in paint/PS) where you could fill in the desired text. And make just a dot of the X mark, and keep repeating it as long as you hold the mouse button down. :hmm:

Me too but it would make it much easier for me to have a lot of that info on my nav map. "Here there be monstors" for example.:p
