How do you change a alied AI configuration and effectivity.

OK. I have to decrease AI sensitivity and effectivity (hydro, asdic) because in NYGM I have problems with DD's who detected me when I was a far away from a convoy.
You think I sail at high speed submerged to contact with a convoy? No I go very slow (about 1-2 knots at "silent running", about 80-100 meters deep) but it's not help me anymore. I think when I will be able to decrease a bit, DD's and other "anti sub" vessels, expierence that I will have a chance to attack other ships at the convoy.
Would you tell me what files (I mean .cfg of course which have a .ini files structure) can I change?
I try sim.cfg and sensors.cfg in sh3 data\cfg directory but it doesn't work.

Download the miniTweaker and Tweak files; the play around with the AI sensor.dat files
