mooncatt: Just change the LandProximity value to your liking.

codmander: Hunter and Pray state = 1? Isn't that a bit low or do you prefer to play out these situations in real time?

I have hunter/hunted at 32x. Not to say I use it all, but when I'm evadinga group of destroyers at 150m, I need not be at 1x.

I have it set when I get a contact report, it will g o to 1x, but other than thatm higher tc's. It's called self control, if you want to play within a certain tc range, only set tc up that high.

Some TC settings i use:

LandProximity=1024

Cause im impatient and want to get the hell out of port and out to sea. Although ill use a max of 256 to get out of port. What this is really handy for is harbor raids. Bottom the boat, sound out the harbor escorts to know their patrol patterns, then advance the game clock and move in at the time you feel most opportune.

AirEnemyDetected=-1

Because i go away from the keyboard alot. Wife yapping? Gotta get ready for work? gotta do something around the house? No problem. Game pauses for me, and i deal with the problem when i get back to the keyboard.

Maximum=2048

Because i only have so much time to devote to the game, and i like to go to far away places. This is VERY handy for those long transits when enroute to patrol areas. Even at 2048, it takes like 20 mins or so just to cross the atlantic. I only use this when in a long transit however. I wouldnt recommend doing that in biscay bay or near freetown

AirEnemyDetected is a 0 for me, pausing the game.

Sometimes you have so minimal reaction time that every second counts.

Default The AI can do odd things under time compression

Be careful with higher time compressions, as the AI can behave very strangely.
